Goreon is my character in the game of World of Warcraft. I've played him since the latter half of BC, although I've played wow since vanilla.
The Paladin class has been through an amazing love hate relationship with the developer team at Blizzard who just can't seem to find middle ground on what's become a very popular class.
Balance issues aside, I really enjoy playing the Paladin class in WoW as it has so much viability across a broad spectrum, so not matter what mood I'm in, I can flick over and play with that spec until I'm bored of it.
I'm one of those erratic style players who games in bursts of a few months at a time and then takes a break. If something grabs my interest I focus intently on it until I'm bored and generally move on, but WoW has kept me captivated for years and with the ever changing content, keeps me coming back for my laughs.
This blog is pretty much just a random collection of musings from a WoW player who pretty much exclusively plays the Paladin class. I'm no expert at the game, nor will you learn any new secrets from this blog. It's more or less just another social interaction for me on the WoW front whilst I am away from my gaming PC.
Speaking of which, I really need an upgrade soon. At present I'm running a P4 3Ghz machine with 2 gig of RAM and an 8800GTS Gfx card. With the recent graphical updates in WoW, my machine has slowed down to a sluggish pile of shit in places like Dalaran where I enjoy a very leisurely 3 fps in the average afternoon's play.
Joy!
